Group Advising Appointments
Group advising appointments are scheduled after you have completed your UAFS New Student Form in your UAFS application status portal. If you have any questions, please call the ROAR First-Year Advising Center at 479-788-7400.
Group advising appointments are for entering freshmen starting in the Fall semester, and they take place in the summer before your first semester of classes. During this appointment, you will meet with an advisor, declare your major, and register for your first semester of classes.
To have an effective appointment, you must prepare for your appointment and meet with your advisor on your scheduled day and time. Please take extra care in following the steps below so we can provide you with the best possible experience!
1. All communication from your advisor will go to your UAFS email. Ensure that you can log in to My.UAFS and access your UAFS email before your appointment. For assistance email the UAFS Service Desk at TechSupportFREEuafs call 479-788-7460, or visit their website.
2. An appointment notification will be sent to your personal email once you schedule your group advising appointment, letting you know details of the
meeting.
3. Provide an official transcript for concurrent coursework. These transcripts must come directly from the university where the credit was awarded.
This coursework will not be on your high school transcript.
4. Provide your Immunization records if you have not already done so. These must be received before registration. Students
not submitting their immunization records will not be able to register for classes.

5. Complete all onboarding and Workday tasks within Workday. For assistance, please
visit the Workday website.
6. Provide an official score report for AP or CLEP credit that you may have received.
- Explore the majors that UAFS has to offer.
- Review a copy of your degree requirements.
- Search the class schedule to see when and how classes are offered toward your degree
If you have questions about which major may be right for you, contact the ROAR at ROARFREEuafs.
- Complete your FAFSA.
- Know the requirements for YOUR scholarship. There are credit hour and GPA requirements for all UAFS scholarships, the , and such as PELL Grants and loans. All scholarship requirements are outlined in your scholarship contract.
- If you have any questions regarding financial aid, contact FinAidFREEuafs.
- Follow the instructions sent to your personal email account to change your UAFS password.
- You must set up your UAFS account before your ROAR registration appointment.
- Log in to your Workday student account and Microsoft Outlook email account prior to your appointment.
- Notify the ROAR First-Year Advising Center at ROARFREEuafs if you do not have access.
